When I was a teenager, I was undersized, underestimated, and told—more than once—that my dream of playing competitive football was unrealistic. I wasn’t the biggest. I wasn’t the fastest. Even my parents cautioned me to consider safer, more predictable paths.
But that dream mattered to me.
What I lacked in size, I made up for with discipline, determination, and an unwavering belief that consistent effort compounds over time. I learned early that success doesn’t come from shortcuts or luck—it comes from showing up every day, doing the hard work, respecting the process, and staying loyal to the vision even when others doubt it.
That lesson shaped my life. And it’s the same lesson I bring to my leadership today.
