Richard’s Painting is led by Richard Gould and was opened in 2007 in Salisbury, North Carolina. The company has shown strong year-over-year growth and is a local frontrunner in the residential and commercial painting industry. Richard’s Painting team members perform a vast array of painting services and are trained to listen to the customer’s needs and provide them with superior customer service in a prompt, professional manner. Richard’s Painting decided to begin its expansion plan after over a decade in the residential and commercial industry (splitting 50/50 between the two sectors). The goal of each new Richard’s Painting franchisee will be to ensure quality and provide a pleasant experience and satisfactory result for each customer. The franchise organization was formed based on a market analysis primarily driven by the Richard’s Painting Management team. From its inception, the experienced management of Richard’s Painting felt that there was a need for a more functional, streamlined, and simpler solution than what is currently being offered and thus, created the Richard’s Painting franchise model. The company has a quality-based business model that holds itself to the highest standard and does not compete on price. Additionally, there is ample room in the existing marketplace for substantial improvement in professionalism, efficiencies and profitability in the painting business.

As a member of the Richard's Painting franchise team, you will receive the following training:
Initial Training - Held at Richard’s Painting headquarters, for approximately one to two weeks of initial training, approximately four weeks before the franchisee is scheduled to open for business.
Onsite Training- An experienced trainer from Richard’s Painting may provide on-site training for a period of up to one week to assist the franchisee in the commencement of operations.
Refresher Training- Franchisees will be required to attend up to one session of up to two days of refresher/update training per year.
Ongoing Training- Richard's Painting will provide continued support with sales, operations, territory management, and compliance.
An exclusive franchise territory is generally considered a major selling point. Richard’s Painting will be offering exclusive territories to their franchisees as one of the key benefits to early adopters. Exclusive territories can offer a competitive advantage in the franchise sales and marketing environment. As a result, the Richard’s Painting system will grant its franchisees an exclusive territory and will use this as competitive advantage against other non-territory franchise concepts. We will be offering territories based on a population in a specific market – ideally, 100,000-250,000 in the MSA or a 10-mile radius. There may be other factors as well, accounting for the number of homes in the area or the level of competition. Each territory will support a business that is commensurate with the initial investment and the caliber of franchisee that will fit each profile. Although the areas will be defined by the population for accounts, there will be geographic, state or county lines that actually document the areas that will constitute territories. The exclusivity will be defined as in no other franchisees will be permitted to open in that market.
