The mission of the Franchisor Company is to offer unrivaled training and support to each franchisee as they join the FTHEC family. Through rigorous qualification and selection, FTHEC will only sell franchises to the highest quality individuals, personally and professionally.
Introduction
Linda Esposito started From The Heart Elder Care in 2010 and thoroughly enjoys the opportunity to work with those “who once cared for us”. The company is still family-owned and its clients very quickly became part of the FTHEC extended family of caregivers and care-recipients. From The Heart Elder Care is a privately owned, full service provider of non-medical home care to various categories of individuals beyond the elderly or infirm. FTHEC is differentiated by going above and beyond. The company can help anyone in need, but beyond that, it is offering the following benefits to its clientele:
- We’re a different type of Home Care Provider. Everyone we touch, whether they are a client, or a member of staff is regarded as an individual person, not a number.

The greying of America, brought about by the aging of the baby boomer generation, is mentioned frequently as one of the most influential happenings in recent economic history. With this large population segment entering the age of retirement, more and more companies have been finding their way towards the growing industry of senior care. The industry for senior care services is growing. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the aging-services industry, composed of home healthcare, elderly and disabled services, and community care facilities for the elderly, make up three of the top 10 industries with the fastest employment growth.
Concept and Facilities
FTHEC has been defined by the belief that each caregiver must be a consummate professional. Its caregivers are mindful of each client’s unique situation and therefore cater their services to meet the needs of the individual. This belief and focus, along with the development of strong leadership, personnel, and systems are what will make the franchisees of FTHEC efficient and profitable businesses. All From the Heart Elder Care Team members have been carefully screened and thoroughly background checked to ensure the safety and welfare for its clients. In addition, all caregivers/CHHA’s go through an extensive orientation program and ongoing training. Due to this care-fully planned approach, the staff consists of professionals who communicate a helpful and positive attitude to all its clients. The FTHEC franchise business will start out of a small office location allowing for a reasonable initial investment to get a franchisee started. A franchisee will not need a specific vehicle to start the business because the caregivers will each have their own mode of transportation. The overhead and initial startup costs will be minimized in order to make the business profitable in as short of a time period as possible.
Our Services
From the Heart Elder Care is a full-service provider of non-medical home care services focused on seniors and physically challenged. The in-home care solutions are affordable and flexible and can range from 3 hours a week to 24 hours a day. The following services will be available in each franchised location:
LIVE-IN OR HOURLY CERTIFIED HOME HEALTH AIDE SERVICES
A caregiver/certified home health aide (CHHA) is a person employed to be a caregiver who carries a current license/state certification and lives with a client who can perform companion “hands off” and personal care “hands on” care. FTHEC clients that need the following daily:
• Toileting
• Showering
• Dressing and/or undressing
• Meal preparation and clean up
• Light Housekeeping
• Laundry
• Changing linens
• Accompanying to medical or other appointments
For hourly care, FTHEC requires a minimum of three consecutive hours of care.
COMPANION CARE SERVICES
FTHEC goes beyond home health. Companions work in a strictly “hands-off” environment for people who need the following services:
• Reminding to take medications
• Meal preparation and clean up
• Light housekeeping
• Laundry
• Accompanying to medical or other appointments
A caregiver/companion is a person employed to accompany and assist with another in the capacity of a “helpful friend”. A companion is trained to assist with “hands off” care (described above).
Support Program
A member of FTHEC field support staff will visit each franchisee according to the following schedule:
• First Quarter / Second Quarter- Monthly
• Third Quarter / Fourth Quarter - Bimonthly
• Second Year - Quarterly
• Thereafter - Biannually
It is estimated that FTHEC will need to hire one field supervisor for every 15-20 franchises in the field. The Franchisor will incorporate a formalized mechanism for ensuring quality control among franchisees that will be implemented by these field supervisors. Designated staff members will perform supervision of field support duties.
The Franchisor will assign a specific person to cover each of these support areas. The names of support staff members who are officers, directors, or have significant management responsibility in conjunction with franchisees will be disclosed in the FTHEC Disclosure Document.
The Franchisor has the responsibility to assign a person/people to each task during the development of the franchise program.
OPERATIONAL SUPPORT: FTHEC will provide ongoing training and support in many areas critical to the success of the franchisee’s business, including unit operations and maintenance, customer-service, cleaning techniques, product ordering, suggested pricing guidelines, and administrative procedures. They will maintain a healthy mix of offering each franchise ideas on how to build their business efficiently, while ensuring the franchisees are maintaining proper compliance to the legal contract.
MARKETING SUPPORT: FTHEC will coordinate development and design of advertising materials and strategies for the benefit of all members of the franchise network. It will also supply franchisees with consumer marketing plans and materials for use at the local or regional level, and retains the right to approve all local advertising materials that the franchisee chooses to develop.
SITE SELECTION: The Franchisor will help the franchisees by approving the final location for the business. It will provide parameters of what to look for when obtaining a site and will provide guidance throughout the lease-signing process.
FTHEC PURCHASING: The Franchisor or its affiliate will negotiate quantity discounts on behalf of all of its members, passing some or all of these savings on to the franchisees.
FTHEC ACCOUNTING/AUDIT/LEGAL: Reporting directly to administration, this department is responsible for the financial and legal oversight of franchisees. FTHEC will be providing support and guidance to franchisees on how to manage their books, but they will ultimately be instructed to hire their own CPA for their individual business.
ONGOING RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT: FTHEC management and leadership will continue to research methods and techniques for franchise operations (including purchasing and promotional schemes) that enhance unit-level profitability.
