As a seasoned restaurateurs, LaDarryl Clements and Tremaine Gilson have the perfect combination of work background and experience to expand his restaurant chain. SubCity is a Cleveland-based gourmet sandwich shop with a focus on quality product and quality service. The model is based on delicious and affordable food and fits the needs of many different types of markets and demographics, allowing for a wide range of possible locations that would fit the SubCity business model.
Currently, from its base of three successful company owned units in greater Cleveland (although one of these will be sold off as a franchise), SubCity will be franchising the company’s operations in order to replicate the model to all parts of the United States.

As a member of the SubCity franchise team, you will receive the following training:
Initial Training - SubCity will provide Franchisees with approximately three to four weeks of initial training at the Franchisor's headquarters in Ohio, beginning approximately eight to twelve weeks before the Franchisee is scheduled to open for business.
Onsite Training - Held at the franchisee’s location for 7-10 days to assist in the commencement of operations.
Refresher Training - Franchisees will be required to attend up to two days of refresher/update training per year in up to two sessions.
Ongoing Training - SubCity will provide continued support with sales, operations, territory management and compliance.
An exclusive franchise territory is generally considered a major selling point. SubCity will be offering exclusive territories to their franchisees as one of the key benefits to early investors. Down the road, this could be altered and If SubCity might switch to an Area of Primary Responsibility mode in which the franchisees would NOT have exclusive rights to their areas of business.
Exclusive territories can offer a competitive advantage in the franchise sales and marketing environment. As a result, SubCity franchise system may choose to grant some of its franchisees an exclusive territory.
Individual Territory – 50,000-100,000 Population Base (depending on market) – we will designate territories based on the size and makeup of the market characteristics.
Although the areas will be defined by population base and accounts, there will be geographic, state or county lines that actually document the areas that will constitute territories.
The fee for one franchise is $25,000. Minimal start-up costs can be as low as $117,900, depending on a number of factors. Please see chart below for details.
